If you want to see an impressive display of fanciful wedding cakes you should check out the site of celebrity U.K. cake designer Heather Higgins. Her site, Sweet Art, features a variety of designer cakes, including three layer tiered cakes paved with glazed fondant and boasting fronds and sprays of flowers, stars and even angel wings. This talented artist also has a way of mashing up glitter in her fondant to create a completely unique looking gold wedding cake. She will also create cakes in unusual colors. For instance, it is not often you see a wedding cake in a bright raspberry red color that is actually an ombre, meaning that it goes from being a deep red at the bottom to an almost tie dyed light violet color at the top tier. This is quite an unusual but also very hip effect as hombre tablecloths and even wedding dresses are quite in at the moment thanks to the popularity of Gwen Stefanie’s raspberry and white wedding dress.
