champagne bubblesIf you love champagne then there is no reason why you can’t have a champagne cake at your wedding.  If you do a little search online you will be presented with many different types of options for putting this type of cake together.

One of the nicest suggestions for making this type of cake is at Dragon Fly Desserts. This company can make moist cake made with real pink champagne, filled with layers of strawberry preserves.

The key to having this type of cake is to make sure it has the same kind of tartness that a glass of champagne does.  This means that the cake iced with a “not too sweet” & light & creamy champagne flavored butter cream icing. For a lighter taste try icing it with whipped cream instead.

Raspberries are great in this type of cake but peaches or strawberries also greatly enhance the champagne flavor.
