If you want a modern, romantic look that is also a touch Victorian, then choose a cascading style of bouquet to go with your wedding gown. Cascading bouquets are usually made of a lot of large blooms that droop slightly. These blossoms can include flowers such as lilies, callas or hydrangeas. Smaller flowers like violets or baby’s breath support this central bouquet and then trailing down are longer verdant fronds like ivy or money flowers.

This style of cascading wedding bouquet is often matched with bits of grosgrain, satin or velvet ribbon with trailing greenery. This trim could match details on your dress or details to do with the dresses worn by your bridesmaids.

This type of bouquet seems to be tailor-made for taller brides, who will find this bouquet style very appealing because the way it drapes and flows and moves when they walk is very flattering. However this type of bouquet can also be made of a much smaller bouquet of tightly wrapped callas and roses and then decorated with dangling ivy and ribbon.

This type of bouquet suits most styles of weddings except for one where you are exchanging vows in very windy outdoor weather.

The cascading bouquets pictured below are from The Romance Specialists, based in Hawaii:
