cut flowersAccording to an article by Sheba Wilson in the Denver Post http://blogs.denverpost.com/homegirls/2008/02/20/wedding-flower-inspiration/  the biggest trend in wedding bouquets lately are hand tied arrangements. Hand tying floral arrangements can be quite an art. The bouquets must have perfectly cut stems and be trimmed neatly so that the bouquet looks artistic. This type of bouquet is not just tied with ribbons it is also sometimes tied with large draping swaths of fabric that flow along with the gown to give an elegant effect. The table arrangements can also be tied to compliment the look of the bridal bouquet. They can be stood up straight in elegant vases and then tied with ribbons as well.  The ribbons can be just knotted or they can be tied in a gigantic glamorous bow. Flowers with solid smooth stems look best tied together in this fashion. If the stems are knotty or crooked the effect is not as stylish.
