bride and groom with bouquet

Flowers can make your appearance on your wedding day even more special, even more bridal, and even more beautiful. From bouquets to a single flower in your hair, this is where you will choose the floral look that puts the finishing touch on your wedding-day style. The traditional cascading bouquet is back, although not as dramatically sweeping as they were in the ’80s when you could barely see the bride behind that draping of flowers and greenery. Look for a gentle curve instead.

Go traditional with a round or cascading “bridal” bouquet of white roses and stephanotis, perhaps lilies and other flowers that come right from the standard list of wedding day bouquets. “Branch out,” so to speak, by using flowers that aren’t so traditionally bridal but still make a gorgeous bouquet, such as peonies and geraniums.

Build your bouquet out of family favorites, such as your grandmother’s or mother’s favorite flowers, along with your own. Some of the most popular flowers of this nature, reported by real life recent brides, are gardenias, peace roses, and orchids. Using such favorites makes your bouquet an extra special tribute to the special women in your life.
Make your bouquet a tribute to your relationship, by using red roses just like the ones he bought you on your first date, or the white orchids that were on the table the night he proposed, or a mix of the two. Your bouquet can be a tribute to your great start as a marrying couple.
