floating flowers

All brides are looking for interesting ideas for their wedding flowers. There are tons of great ideas out there. Here are just a few that are easy to do, even for the do-it-yourself bride, are beautiful and cost effective for the budget conscious bride. Give these a shot and you’ll see. Thanks to wedding-flowers-and-reception-ideas.com for these great suggestions.

  • Try submerging tulips, roses or calla lilies in vases. Make sure that the water doesn’t cover the flower itself, but the idea is to have the flowers completely inside a clear glass vase.
  • You can create a “shower” of flowers. You can string flowers on fishing line. Roses, gerbera daisies or carnations work great. Simply use a sewing needle (a fairly strong one) and thread the line through the base of the flower (this is called the calyx). Once you go through the calyx once, pass the line through again. It will keep the flower in place so that it appears to be floating. Use it to decorate standing candelabras, wedding arches, tables and anywhere else you can dream up.

Please feel free to add your own ideas in the comment section.
