Looking good in your wedding dress is likely high on your list of wedding day concerns. And there are many brides who worry about the way that their arms are going to look in their dress. If you just aren’t happy with the shape that your arms are in, it can be difficult to find a dress because most wedding gowns are sleeveless or just have tiny caps or straps holding the bodice up.

There are a number of solutions to this problem, and one of them is to get a gown with long sleeves. Many dress sellers, in particular plus size dress sellers, sell very attractive designs that cleverly employ the longer sleeves in an elegant dress construction. One designer that sells a number of attractive dresses that do a great job concealing trouble-spot arms is Darius Cordell. Gigantic bows on the back of the dress or a very low cut on the front bodice also draw attention away from the arms.

A good design to hide the upper arms is a sleeveless style that is worn with a cropped bolero jacket that has a three quarter sleeve length.

Another design solution is to get fifties style dress which has an almost tuxedo style bodice that is complimented by three quarter length sleeves at well. These are very elegant dresses, especially in cream-colored satins or silk that look like something Billy Holiday or Joan Crawford might have been married in fifty years ago.

Dresses with long flowing sleeves can also hide unattractive upper arms. There are also many designs online that have puffy sleeves or chiffon sleeves for upper arm coverage but the problem with this design is that it is out of style. The tuxedo style bodice, however, is very much in style for the bride.
