What exactly is an Elvish style wedding gown? Well if you ever wanted to look like a princess in a medieval fairy tale you are on the right track. Brides dressed in these gowns tend to resemble characters out of the great novels such as the Narnia or the Lord of the Rings Series.

There is not really such a thing as a typical Elvish gown but many of them have tight bodices and low cleavages. It is quite common for the dress to have a well defined pelvic girdle as well as lacing up the front and back. The actual collar of the dress is usually curved and off the shoulder and the sleeves might have double puffs. The skirt can be puffy but usually it is more draped with a lot of flouncing, bows and flower details. White is a very common color for this wedding dress but it is not unusual at all to also find htem in purple, green and other fantastic colors.

Elvish style wedding gowns are quite popular with the pagan and Wicca sets but also sometimes a bride just wants a wedding with a beautiful fairy tale theme. These are not common dresses because they are a bit costumey for most brides. Usually you have to have this style custom made. In that case you might find the kind of dress you are looking for at Rivendel Bridal.
