There are also not a lot of extra detailing on these dresses from Modern Trousseau. They are not tight fitting but they are still tailored. For instance the style called Charlotte (pictured above), from the 2007 collection, has a flared skirt, but it does not have a large flare. The effect is minimal and quite stylish.

They are also a little more modern than most dresses with V-neck, halter, capped sleeve and straight bodice sleeveless style. There is a prim sense to them that make them almost turn of the nineteenth century in feel. They certainly suit the bride who is younger, who may not wear her hair up at her wedding and who does not want her wedding dress to upstage her own natural beauty at her wedding.

However as simple as they wedding dresses are they are not inexpensive. This is a favorite designer of L.A. types and you could easily see someone like Heather Locklear slipping one of these on at her next marriage to a bad boy rocker.

Each wedding gown designed by Impressions designer Ruben Cruz is fabricated with a special kind of boning that rests softly on the skin, and yet reveals a slim body silhouette. The bride can breathe on her wedding day rather than worry about boning jabbing into her ribs when she says, “I do.”

This trend looks the best on wedding dress designs that are simple, such as Vera Wang designs. They also would look good on less expensive gowns that are basically just silk columns, such as the silk sheathes made by Mizrahi for Target. A really spectacular ribbon can make a $160 wedding gown look like it is worth ten times that much.

The trend is also to wear the ribbon in a strong contrasting color, such as bright forest green against a snow white dress, or a warm orange color against an ivory dress. You can also synchronize your bridal team stylistically by having them have them wear the same type of ribbon around their dress.

Tying a ribbon around your waist is a nice touch too if you are trying to honor a relative who may be serving overseas. In this case you are tying a yellow ribbon around the bride to remember those who may not be able to attend the ceremony because they are fighting a war many miles a way.

This sophisticated and romantic collection is made up of beautifully designed wedding dresses in laces and taffetas. The colors that Balbier uses for 2008 are have a soft, muted vintage feel. Golds, blush pinks and ivory hues are the dominant colors. The collection is also surprisingly demure with many designs that have capped sleeves and a more seventies kind of feel to them.

Let me take you back to the day that Kidman married Keith Urban, June 25, 2006. Her ivory dress had one puffy sleeve and she wore a delicate silk tulle veil. According to a story in Canada’s Vancouver Sun the Kirstie Kelly designed gowns will be sold in specialty wedding gown boutiques in Japan and America. They will sell for between $1,300 and $3,400. 

About 1,500 couples tie the knot each year at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in the shadow of Cinderella’s castle. The average Disney wedding costs about $32,900 and includes 100 guests.
