crystal studded wedding shoes

Sometimes, in the immortal words of the queen of glamour herself, Marilyn Monroe, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.” While finding a pair of diamond studded shoes might be quite difficult, not to mention quite costly, we’ve got the next best thing. The shoes have some serious bling! They are completely encrusted with Austrian crystals, and they are a bit pricy.

So what if you are a bride on a budget but still want show stopping shoes? Well believe it or not, this is not all that difficult to do on your own. You simply need to go to the craft store, or order online, some Austrian crystals. There are many sites that sell large amounts of them for a very small price and in a variety of colors. So all you non-traditional brides or their bridesmaids can all bling their shoes to match their gown (and if you do it yourself, it’s cheaper than dying). Depending on the material your shoes are made of, you can simply glue them on.

You will need a bit of patience as this is a lot of gluing. Just be sure that you choose glue that is appropriate for the material your shoes are made of. Fabric shoes can use a variety of glues, just be sure that it is clear drying glue so that you don’t see it. If the shoes are made of leather or synthetic leather it can be a bit tougher to find something that will stick, but not impossible. The staff at the craft store should be able to advise you.
