In this video from the National Wedding Show, Kim from bridalwave.tv talks to bridal hair specialist Karine Jackson about the latest trends in wedding hairstyles. (This image is a fuzzy screenshot taken from the video and is the hairstyle that Karine is working on during the interview.)
In addition to the classic up-do’s, brides are currently going for 1960’s styles, and the “Amy Winehouse look.”
Jackson recommends you should bring a picture of your dress and as much information about your wedding to your hair consultation as possible when you’re choosing your stylist. Keep your mind open to new ideas, but don’t go for anything too drastic and dramatic, unless that suits your personality. She also cautions about possible “Bridesmaidzillas,” who, in her words “tend to be a bit scary.”
And remember - what is trendy today may not look so great in your wedding photos 20 years from now, so keep that in mind when selecting your do, as well. Check out the video for more tips and trends.
