We often talk about ways to save money on your wedding day, but if you’re doing well with your budget, time may be more important to you. What bride doesn’t feel like she’s being pulling in 100 different directions? The two weeks before your wedding will probably be especially frazzled, so here are ten time-saving tips to help you get back on schedule:

Laundry1. Hand your groom a household to-do list. Sure, planning the wedding is your thing, but that doesn’t mean that your groom gets to sit around and play videos games or watch football all day! If he doesn’t want a say in the wedding, put him to good use around the house instead. He can do laundry, go grocery shopping, vacuum, take care of the pets, and otherwise take over some of your share of the responsibilities. Heck, even if you don’t live together, he should be willing to stop by your place and chip in with the chores.

2. Have the dresses and tuxedos delivered. Instead of driving to pick up all of the clothing for the big day, have everything delivered the night before or the morning of directly to the church. This is a stress-saver too – you don’t have to worry about someone not having a part of their outfit.

3. Practice your hairstyle with your hairdresser about a month beforehand. This may seem like a waste of time, since you’ll have to add another appointment to your book, but in actuality, it is a great time-saver the day of the wedding. Your stylist will know exactly what to do, and your hair will take a fraction of the time.

4. Opt for long, large tables at your reception instead of small round tables. Creating a seating chart where you can put people together at larger tables is easier than trying to ensure everyone is with the right people at smaller tables.

5. Ask the DJ or band for a list of their wedding song recommendation. Many people like to give their DJs a list of the songs to play at the wedding, but creating such a list is tough and takes a long time. Instead, ask him or her for a starting point of love songs and party classics, then add to the list and cross out songs you don’t like.

7. Choose professional faux nails instead of do-it-yourself stick on nails. If you’re going the route of fake nails, get them professionally done. It won’t take as long to apply them, and, better yet, you’ll spend less time reapplying nails that are falling off. As an added bonus, if you break a nail, you can run to wherever you got them done and they’ll do a professional fix instead of the sloppy home-done look that happens when we try to done our nails by ourselves.

8. A few months before the wedding, fill your freezer. Cook bigger portions and then make homemade TV dinners and stick them in the freezer. When time is tight the week before the wedding, all you have to do is thaw, heat, and serve!

9. Pay all your bills a month in advance. That way, you won’t forget to send out anything because you were dealing with wedding planning. Don’t have enough money to pay them all ahead of time? At least fill out the checks and address the envelopes so that as soon as the money is in your account, you are ready to go.

10. Assign each child to a bridesmaid or groomsman. Yes, even your own. Every child involved in the wedding should have a “big brother” or “big sister” for the day to help them out so that they aren’t following you around all day.
