Wedding DJEngaging the services of a wedding DJ for your wedding reception is one of the most important elements of making the day perfect. Here are three tips to help you work closely with the DJ and create the ideal mood:First, meet with the DJ at least twice after signing the contract and before the big day. At the first visit, come to terms on the mood you want to set at the reception. This will help him or her compile the playlist. At the second meeting, the two of you can go over both the song selection and arrangement to ensure the music will flow the way you want.

Next, identify specific points where you want spotlight dances or certain songs to be played. This will help the DJ know when to enhance the music with comments or prepare guests for something special.

Last, visit the rehearsal hall in advance with the DJ. Between the two of you, decisions can be made about where to set up equipment, arrange access for the DJ with the management of the hall, and address any small challenges that the space may present to the presentation of the music.
